pistolwhip

Anyone know how to post a picture, that's small but it's also a link so when you click on it, it brings you to the full-sized picture? It's important for something I'm working on, that I'll share with you, if I can figure this out.

I keep meaning to write something, but I'm too bored lately. Also, the things I'm going through are a little too personal, for now. I might write more after some coffee, when I can think clearly. Or, I might go to a clinic before work (I don't have a "family doctor").

I don't think I've ever been this close.

The Khyber Ghost:

I don't know, right now, who the photographer was. I can find out through scanning all the emails Seth sent to find a name. Whoever you are, thank you.

"So, how's pistolwhip going?"
meh. uh...
"Do you still write it?"
Oh, yeah! I still write it. It's just, uh, not as good, or as much...or something.
"It was good for when you were going crazy on the pills."
yeah.
"Well, at least you have a record of it."
Yeah, that's what I like about it so much. I have a record. That's why I keep writing. I just wish it were better.

Thanks to Mark Black, I played with this little tool a bit. I had heard about the funny things that can occur with these translation devices. From Tensity. Someone read the original english, whatever it was translated into, and the resulting english. I'm kind of in a rush before work, so I can't play with it much now, but I started with original text from last Wednesday's entry on this very blog:

Today's awesome. Already. I just got up a bit ago and am still drinking coffee, but so much has already been accomplished. I received a letter saying I was approved for interest relief, straightened things up with my landlord (who wants to help me get my money back from the bank screwing me over), had a great practice with Dog Day last night, and it's beautiful out. It's too bad I'm so frigging broke that I can't go to Stage 9 tonight. I really wanted to. Spinoza and Gilbert Switzer. You should go even though I'm not.

I translated it into french, and then back. The result:

Impressing today. Already. I am right survey a little it there have and a AM always drinking coffee, but so much was already accomplished. I received a stating of letter which I was approved for the relief of interest, things rectified upwards with my owner (who wants to help me to recover my money of the bank kissing me more), had a great practice with the day of dog the night spent, and it is beautiful outside. It is too bad I am thus frigging broke that I cannot go to put in scene 9 this evening. I really wanted in Spinoza and Gilbert Switzer. You should go though I would not be.

This day last year, a friend made a confession.

FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCKFUCKFUCK!!

Thanks a lot for reinforcing my trust in other human beings. Thanks for teaching me something that should have been common sense all along. Thanks for looking me in the eye, acting like a nice, normal human being, then running out the door. Well, I guess you could be a nice, normal human being, and still be broke.

Happy Valentine's Day asshole.

This day last year, I listened to the Misfits.

I had a panic attack on stage the other night. It was pretty strange. It reminded me of how I felt at a show at the Marquee. That night, I rushed out the door and vomited. I had only had two or three beer. I got a cab home, leaving my wallet in the back seat. The new ID I got back then expires next week.

But Wednesday, I was on stage, not in the audience. I couldn't run out the door and leave. So I kept playing. But it made me angry. I guess I had to get it out somehow. I felt like jumping and shoving, but instead, I backed into the corner.

Claustrophobia.

I went to the Khyber for the first time in forever last night. I ended up with some claustrophobic symptoms, and was oddly afraid of the window to my right. It was good that I went. I got a bit of a feel for the place before Monday. It was bizarre being there now, after so long, when I used to go there everyday before.

This day last year, I wrote about my last breakup.

So I made it to Stage Nine tonight. Today was a perfect day.

Now, If only I could find those jam spot keys before the Hold practice tonight...

This day last year, I met a cat named Vickers. (Well, it was Sunday. I met Vickers the night before).

PS- Meghan, as I'm sure you know, you left your beer in Kelly's car. We drank some of it, with the intention of returning the rest to you and paying you back. Well, uh, we forgot it in Kelly's fridge...But we will get you back. I just can't afford to until after Thursday.

I'm watching Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I love it. I can't deny it. I'm remembering my childhood crush on Harrison Ford. Gross. We borrowed the trilogy on DVD from a neighbour. It makes me think of Brian Lingley. I going to see Alden and Kelly tomorrow. We're spending the night at their place in Bridgewater after the show. I'll get to see Rajiv in a band for the first time since the Throbbing Problem days. Gilbert Switzer and Sloth are also playing. Should be a good time. It's a benefit show for a Sri Lankan (sp?proper word?) family.

KC's asleep on the couch, with a beer in his hand. I ashed in the wrong can and skimmed them out of my own beer, that I am now drinking out of a glass.

Things've been good lately, I guess.

I've spent a lot of time with Nancy. It's been good. We're playing our first show on Valentine's Day. It's cute cuz we're 2 couples. It's at the Khyber with Sharp Like Knives.

Was everyone weird today? My day was messed. I went through every imaginable emotion in a matter of seconds, and then through them all over again. Customers seemed odd, too. Maybe it's the transition from the Year of the Monkey to the Year of the Rooster. Maybe everything'll be straightened out by mid-week.
