I can't believe how much my back hurts. I can't believe how tired I am. It doesn't even seem like it's that much extra work, but it really is.
I feel like about about to burst, but I don't know where it's going to give. The pressure is coming from many different angles. And I've never been very good at physics, although I was almost a good enough fluke pool player to pass as a low level shark.
I'm used to the tension building in my neck. To needing massages to the point of learning through trial and error how to knead myself. I'm used to it getting to the point of causing some real serious headaches.
But I'm not used to this back pain. Or this actual physical burnout. Besides Rick White's show last weekend, in a dimly lit theatre after 14 hours of standing/walking/sitting on curbs or benches, I think I've only dozed off at one other show before. That was the night I met Horseface. I miss him.
