Did you know that the first independently produced album to be released in Canada came from Halifax and only a mere 14 years ago? Really. It came out in 1992. My mind is blown.
This is an iside joke about a conversation that occurred at the jam spot the other night. The guy was jamming with his reformed band, and was trying to impress us by saying he just found out that their CD, from 1992, was the first independently produced album in Canada. Then he looked at us waiting for our reactions, and we all looked at him, stifling laughter. "That's pretty cool, eh?" he says, and we nod, silently.
Dude, if you want to impress young people (and you probably thought we were younger and more naive than we are), at least come up with a believable lie.

you mean Holiday Snaps? Pretty Fun?
I've been listening to a lot of Steely Dan recently. Sitting in my kitchen, crying and naked chugging whiskey.

Oh, Pistol.
If I was there I would have smashed him in the mouth.
Because I'm a dangerous and violent individual.
I blame this, in part on Steely Dan and whiskey.
