"I've seen her in front of a lot of different instruments over the years."

I'm officially in another band now. They're quite a bit different than my other band. I've finally played a few notes for them, so I don't feel weird talking about it like it includes me. Last night may have been really shaky, but I'm optimistic for the future. I need to get over being shy to play with Seth and Nancy. I need to get more comfortable with the songs and the instrument. I'm excited to work on it this week, for next Thursday. I have a CD and keyboards here. In ways, I'm more comfortable on keyboards than I am with most other instruments. In some ways. But, it's been a long time (except last night) since I've touched one.

I really like this photo, by Paul Hammond:

  • I'm looking forward to seeing this, I've heard lots of good things about Dog Day but have yet to actually hear. I gotta get on that.
I felt really uncomfortable playing drums live until well.....until the show you played with us at the pavilion. Sounds a wee lame but just having another woman on stage helped. I am so comfortable on my guitar and it just feels like an extension of my body.... but being a new drummer is scary. sports bra. dirty mouths.

  • Aren't you and Nancy just the loveliest girls in a band in Halifax these days? I think so...
    ...this is Bud.

  • beany: I, too, am pumped for Dog Day. I believe we have a show sooner than you might think. But, I'm gonna wait till I know for sure before mentioning it.

poison: I guess it is a lot like you and the drums. I'm comfortable with bass, and I'm even more comfortable with guitar than keys. I'm glad you finally felt comfortable on stage. Keep it up. You're a menace on drums (in a good way). KC likes your drumming, not just because of the bouncing boobs. I never really think of the female thing. I feel more comfortable being the only girl in the band than I did in the Briefs. Probably jealousy. In the Briefs, I got the least attention...I just put all this pressure on myself like I'm not good enough to be involved with Seth and Nancy. But, I felt the same about the Spidle brothers when the Hold first started.

Bud: Thanks you. I think it's a pretty good looking band all around. I also think that chick in Gilbert Switzer's pretty hot.

Add to my post: I realized Dog Day can't practice on it's regular Thursday night this week. 2 of us will be too busy practicing new songs to play with the Hold that night at Reflections.
