Since I'm so passionate about Sunday Shopping, I'm going to go vote soon, for the first time in my life. I can't figure out why I'm so passionate about it. I think it comes from people arguing for the workers. I get offended that people are essentially saying that someone who works at Walmart or the grocery store are more important than people who work at McDonalds, or Momoya, or Value Village. Considering, in my whole life, I've only had one job that was closed on Sundays (Mahons), they're essentially saying that someone who works at the mall is more important than me. That pisses me off. I think another reason I care about it, is that I've spent 25 years being bored on Sundays; there's hardly even anything good on TV that day. Also, my personal schedule. I work 6 days a week. When I complain about not being able to go grocery shopping, people say I could get up early and go before work or go to th Sobey's. I say, why should I have to? (although, I do now get off on Fridays at 6:00, so that solves that problem) But what about the fact that I need some new bras? I can't (or won't) get up at 7:00, so I can take the bus out somewhere and back before work. People argue that the same revenue will be spread over 7 days instead of 6 (because the population only has a certain amount of disposable income), but I argue that some of the population isn't counted. If I could buy some bras on a Sunday (a possibly expensive purchase) that would be more money spent in the week. If you think about it, Sunday's a better day to shop, because you don't have to try to schedule it around work or school (unless you work Sunday, but then you'll have another day of the week off).

So, in short, I'm about to head out and vote "Yes." I wish you would too. Quite honestly, I don't understand why anyone's against it (except the religious nuts, but they have the right to refuse to work on their Sabbath, and they can stay home and pray if they like.) But, I do know quite a few people that are. They've tried to explain themselves to me, and I can sometimes kinda see their points, but really, it's just all ridiculous. End it now, please (and end it with the right result).
