Holidays bring me down. I've thought of numerous reasons, but the thruth is, it happens, whatever the reasons.
I ate McDonald's for Thanksgiving.
On another note, there's a municipal election coming up. I never have voted, but this time I really want to, even if just to mark my box for Sunday Shopping. If anyone knows how I am to vote, I'd welcome the advice. Where do I go? What can I bring for proof of address?

Don't feel too depressed. For the first time in 28 years, I am without family on thanksgiving. But then I realized, Thanksgiving is only turkey in my family...and a monday off, no big deal. I had bacon and eggs...with baco bits in the eggs(scrambled). Then the power went out. So I went to work to check my email and read all the blogs...and here I am. Oh and bring your drivers license, or similar proof of ID.

i assume you are in the same district as i am, as you live on street away, which means you to go st. pat's on saturday, oct. 16 between the hours of 8 am and 7m. i'm not sure which poll station you'll vote in, but since you're not registered, you'll just have to ask the dudes when you get there. basically, take a couple pieces of id, and if you have a bill with your current address on it, that would make it much easier. failing that, you and KC can vouch for each other, which is basically swearing that you are who you are. any further election questions can be forwarded to election@halifax.ca, or answered by clicking on http://halifax.ca, or even by calling 490-1552, 490-1553 or 490-1554 (why three numbers? i have no geezis idea). maybe i'll see you at the polls.

oh, by the way, thanksgiving sucked for me this year too (also, first time not spent from my family). normally g's parents, mine, chris marr's and a few other folks all gather round. this year i drank rehydrated yellow powder instead of a big feast. and greg is away. and i always have mondays off anyway. blarblarblahr. suckysucksuck.

Bud: yeah, I switched to Blogger's comment system (which I also dislike), because I had to give HaloScan money to keep my old comments. It's no fun going through the archives, with the comments missing. I guess the reason I said that "it happens, whatever the reasons" is because it has nothing (or little) to do with missing my family. It happens EVERY year, no matter where I am, or who I'm with, or what I'm eating. Thanksgiving makes me want to jump off a bridge, end of story.

Bud: my ID's no good. It says I live on Clifton Street. I haven't lived there for almost 5 years.
beany: Thanks a lot. Very helpful. I'll just spend the next few days looking for bills, or even a copy of my lease. I'd assume I'd go to St. Pat's as well. I guess, if I go early enough and it's the wrong place, they'll tell me where to go. Sad to hear your Thanksgiving was a lonely one. If it's not too late, you should come to Hell's Kitchen tonight. KC's new band, HookerBlood, is playing what MIGHT be their only show.
kisses.
